Privacy Policy
1. Who is responsible
Nascode, in Lebanon, operating Synch, is responsible for the data described here. You can reach us at the address in the last section of this policy.
2. What we collect
- Account details — your name, your email address, and your password, which is stored only as a hash.
- Profile photo and bio, if you add them.
- Everything you put in a request — the paragraph you write, your interview answers, and up to four photos.
- Messages you send to the people you match with.
- Wallet activity — your purchases, the transfer reference you quote, and every token movement in or out of your balance.
- Technical data — your IP address, cookies, and error logs.
3. Why we hold it
We hold it to run the matching itself, to tell you when somebody appears on the other side of a request, and to bill and credit tokens. We also use it to keep accounts secure and to understand how the product is used.
4. Who else sees it
- OpenAI — the paragraph you write and your interview answers are sent to OpenAI to work out the subject, choose the questions and write the explanation you see. This happens for every request.
- Google — Google Analytics receives usage data and sets its own cookies.
- Microsoft — our outbound email passes through Microsoft 365 to reach your inbox.
- Other members — before you both agree to connect, the other person sees only your initials, never your name, photo or bio. After you both say yes, they see your name, photo, bio and whatever you wrote in your request.
5. Cookies
We set a session cookie that keeps you signed in and an anti-forgery cookie that protects the forms you submit. Google Analytics sets its own cookies.
The first two are required for the site to work. Analytics cookies can be refused in your browser settings or with a blocker.
6. How long we keep it
A request stops matching when it expires but stays in your account until you delete it. Messages stay in the conversation for both people. Error logs are kept for 60 days.
Deleting your account removes your profile and your requests. Token and payment records survive it, because they are financial history, and messages you already sent stay in the other person's conversation.
7. Your choices
You can edit or remove your photo and bio at any time, withdraw a request you no longer want matched, and delete your account from the profile panel.
Notification emails go only to a verified address.
8. Security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes, uploaded files are served only to signed-in members, and administrative access is behind a separate door.
No system is perfectly secure and we do not claim otherwise.
9. Children
Synch is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly hold data about anybody younger.
10. Where your data goes
The services named in section 4 process data outside Lebanon, including in the United States and the European Union.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page changes when we do.
12. Contact
Write to us at nascode.developers@gmail.com with any question about this policy or the data we hold about you.
