Terms of Service
1. Who we are
Synch is operated by Nascode, in Lebanon. If you need to reach us about anything on this page, write to us using the contact details in the last section of our Privacy Policy.
2. What Synch is
Synch introduces two people whose stated needs match. You describe what you need in your own words; when somebody on the other side of that need appears, Synch tells you both and lets you talk.
We introduce people. We do not vet them, employ them, supervise them, or take part in whatever you agree between yourselves.
3. Your account
One account per person. Keep your details accurate and your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you. You must be 18 or older to use Synch.
A guest session is an account too, with the same terms applying to it. If you convert a guest session into a full account, everything you wrote while a guest stays with you.
4. Tokens and payment
Tokens are bought in packs and spent to ask for a connection — one token per ask. Accepting a connection is always free.
Payment is by manual bank transfer against a reference we give you, and tokens are credited to your balance once we confirm the transfer has arrived.
Tokens are not refundable for cash. The one refund the system performs is automatic: if you withdraw a request, anyone who spent a token waiting on it gets that token back.
Prices and pack sizes may change; a change never touches tokens already bought.
5. What you post
You keep ownership of your words and photos. You give us permission to store them, process them as described in the Privacy Policy, and show them to the people you match with.
Do not post anything unlawful, anything that impersonates somebody else, or a photo you have no right to use.
6. How your request is read
To work out what you need, Synch sends the paragraph you write and the answers you give to OpenAI, which processes them and returns a structured summary. Do not write anything into a request that you would not want processed by a third-party AI service.
7. Talking to the people you match with
Messages you send are stored as you wrote them and are not screened, filtered or moderated by us.
We do not verify anybody's identity. Use ordinary caution when you meet a stranger or pay one. What the two of you agree between yourselves is between you.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Synch for any of the following:
- harassing anybody, or sending them spam;
- scraping the site, or reaching it through automated means;
- reselling access to the platform;
- advertising something you are not genuinely offering.
9. Suspension and deletion
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete your own account at any time from your profile.
Unused tokens are not paid out when an account closes, whichever side closes it.
10. Availability
Synch is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, that a match will be found, or that a match will lead to anything.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do, and continuing to use Synch after that means accepting the new version.
13. Governing law
Lebanese law governs these terms, and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction.
